Urmed SR 450 Tablet by Medsea Healthcare contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid IP 450 mg in a sustained-release tablet formulation. Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) is a bile acid used in the management of specific hepatobiliary and cholestatic conditions as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

The formulation works by influencing bile composition and bile flow. It may help reduce cholesterol saturation in bile and is used in selected patients with cholesterol gallstones and certain cholestatic liver disorders.

Urmed SR 450 may be prescribed for conditions including Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC), cholestatic liver diseases, cholesterol gallstones, biliary sludge and microlithiasis, intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP), and selected cases of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), depending on the patient’s clinical condition and physician’s assessment.
